Primary energy is devoted to releasing unclassified, composed and improvised work by underrepresented artists. Every human has the right to express themselves, and what we do as audio engineers is help people tell their stories.
Since the inception of the studio, I’ve focused on those who don’t really get the exposure they deserve and the many hidden talents of not only ambient music, but electronica and to a lesser extent, techno.
We want to inspire and stimulate best practice in recording through tools, philosophy, and technique.
Mixing
We can take raw tracks you've recorded at any studio and turn them into professional, polished recordings.
Mastering
We can create a coherent final master that translates well onto all types of listening systems and environments.
Podcast/Storytelling
We record Audio Description (audio channel for visually impaired and blind). We produce essay radio – hybrid audio storytelling that blends elements of documentary, fiction and sound-art.
Creativity
It is vital that we stimulate our souls and feed our inspiration. We allow white space in our process to give room for inspiration to strike.
